Home Instructions for Your Filling

»If anesthesia was used, try to avoid eating until the numbness is gone, usually within 2-4 hours. This will prevent accidentally biting your lip, tongue, or cheek

»There may be sensitivity to heat, cold and pressure in the first week-this is normal.

»Your gums may be sore after the anesthetic wears off. Rinsing with warm salt water helps reduce discomfort. (1/2 tsp salt in 1 cup warm water).

»We will call you the next business day to be sure all is well. However, call us immediately if you have questions or concerns.

We put YOU first, so in the rare instance that your filling fails within the first year of placement, we will replace the filling at no charge to you. Your filling was placed on _________________ (we have recorded this in your patient record). This agreement is only valid if you have regular recommended cleanings and checkups at our office.
